I decided to make an altered frame for the last day of the hop. I just love the paper that was sent to us. I decided tp use the purple multilined one because it stood out to me the most. In total the work time was about 30 mins. Very easy project. I hope you had fun in the hop and hopefully we will see you next year for another awesome hop.

I decided to make a penguin pendant made out of resin. There are a total of 3 layers and the total time it took me was 32 hours :) The background has light blue gillter and on the bottom there is snow. I sanded the edges and used sculpey gloss glaze to finish it. I hope you like it and come back friday for another project..

DCD Challenge #32

Oh my! It seems like its been forever since I posted something here. I feel really bad. I had to pack most of my craft stuff because I thought we were moving.... Anyways, this week at DCD our challenge was to make something with an animal in it. I made an 8x8 scrapbook page. I also challenged myself to make something with 3 colors, one of them being one I hate to scrap with... That was yellow. I guess you can say I'm not a fan. This page might have changed my mind a little because I love the way it turned out. The cuts are from the Create a Critter cart. I also stamped some random white and black hearts with a stamp that I found at a Big Lots for 50 cents.

I have been very busy in the past few weeks making art and spending time with my family that I had no time to blog. In any case I have made a few nice things I will be showing you all in the coming weeks. There might even be a few surprises :) I'm excited to say that I will be back to normal somewhat this week.

Let me ask yall a question. Do you ever hobby hop? I seem to be doing that a lot. Like I said there are a lot of new things I wanna show you so keep coming back and see what I got. My Pink Stamper DT Entry

Hi gals thanks for coming to check out my entry!!!! I just found out about 5 hours ago that My Pink Stamper was having another DT call for the 2nd term of this year. I'm so excited. Although I wish I had more time to do my project.... I was away from blogger for a few nights since I worked late. But its ok. For this challenge I decided to think outside of the box. An a very outside thinking it was. I used very unique ingredients to make my project. Since making a LO the last DT call got me no where I decided to mix things up.....

Here are the requirements....

*You will need to have a blog that you regularly post on for at least 3 months.

*You cannot already be serving on a DT that has product that is a conflict of interest (most DTs are just fine as long as they do not sell product that is similar to My Pink Stamper Original Cricut Stamps idea)

*Your project must be made just for this challenge

*Post a pic on your blog with a full recipe along with what the challenge is about

*This needs to be a new project that you make just for this challenge

*Only one entry per person, please

*You do not need to be a professional but you must have a love for the craft! :)

Challenge: Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite Cricut cartridge using the following colors......

Orange

Turquoise

Green

Brown

(other optional color of your choice)

On to my project:

I decided to do a decoden (means to decorate/ alter an item) :3 I'm sooo into that stuff now. Everything is so kawaii >-<.

I took a simple wood bird house and first painted it turquoise.

Then I made some deco pieces out of polymer clay and baked them for 20 mins...

Then I cut a wreath die cut. At this point this is the last thing I will add...

I took the deco pieces out of the oven then I decorated some of them....

The next step was to pipe the "icing" which was actually silicone...

Then, I put on the deco pieces on the silicone...

I also sprinkled some Martha Stewart micro marbles in orange

Last but not least I put on the die cut and it's ready for a christmas present for a bird lover :) which happens to be my mother-in-law. I wish everyone good luck in their projects.

OMG!!! Im' nearing 100 followers and is almost time for that blog candy give away!!!!

This week the DT was asked to make a shapped card. No squares for rectangles allowed. I made mine with the Paisley cart and my Gypsy. I welded the shadow. Also I'm happy to announce that this week I was sponsored by The Eyelet Outlet. They have really cute brads.

I used the ladybug one to embelish her hair. The card is cut at 3.25 because it was a little too big for my mat. Although now that I think about it I could have just made the card like this \ rather than this -

This week Team A was asked to make something with dry or heat embossing. I made a gate fold snow flake card. Geez gate fold cards are very adicting.... Yes I'm starting early on my xmas cards :) Excuse the photo. My phone does not take very good pictures(darn you blackberry :))

I hope everyone is enjoying their Monday morning. I decided to make a 4th of July card for my dad. I used my Slice with the Summer SD and the Words & Expressions SD. I made a gate fold simple card. It measures 4x4 closed and 4x8 opened. I cut an 8x4 piece of red cardstock. I scored 2" from both ends. Then I cut 4 pieces of cardstock 1/8" less. Same with the pattern paper. The title was cut at 3 1/2" , the rockets at 2" and 2 1/2". The inside sparkles were cut at 3".

This weekend I was BUSY!!!! I was at a convetion this past weekend with my hubby and my daughter. It lasted 3 days. She was screaming her head off the first day because she didnt take a nap and I think she was scared of the people who were dressed up. What made her happy was when she had her face painted. This is the challenge where the newbies to the team come out to play!! Please go comment them on their awesome projects. The theme was summer inspired. Here is what I have created.
I made a notebook for my mom using Lettering Delights SVG files from Weather Girl. It's a really cute file and they are only $4 for so many of them. I used my zutter bind-it-all. Man it was the first time I really used that thing and it was kinda hard. I made some of the stuff pop up. I believe I cut the girl at 3 1/2 inches. The note book is 6x6 and the paper inside I cut at 6x6 with no clue it was going to stick out lol. Hope you like it!!! Woo Hoo!! I chopped my hair :) I went from this.....

This was having wayyyy to much fun with the band :)

I'm just full of random thing and thoughts today. I'm on a quest to make an EPIC skirt for the Amine Convention coming up. (and yes I'm well aware I'm a dork tee hee) I'm hoping my friends moms friend will make me an awesome Lolita costume. Man those things are pricey...Hopefully she just has me buy the fabric and accepts my hugs n kisses as payment plus a small tip? :( I can't believe I'm trying to do this just 2 weeks before the convention. Yeah I'm nuts. Anyways here is a small card I had made a few days ago!

I made this card in about 15 mins and used all scraps and stash items!!!

This week we were asked to create something creepy. I used all scraps the only thing I really made was the letters everything else was in my stash. Twin B-Day Blog Hop

ACNS Challenge

We were asked this week to make something for our pets. Well I was recently given the featured pets board at my work. Is not much but it make the animals that have been there stand out. Well heck YESSSS!!!! I have made it onto another design team. Die cutting Divas. Woopie for me!! This week they asked the designers to make something with a "masculine" cut. Well I have decided to make a birthday card for my brother-in-law. My sister made the svg file because her hubby is VERY into Star Wars. I used 3-D pop dots on the car. The stamps are "Twenty Something" by Stampadeous. I rearranged all the stamps to make it look like a cascading effect. I hope ya'll come play along in the challenge. Strange!!!

There is something strange going on with my blogger! I just looked at a one of my posts that I recently released on Wednesday and It said that I posted them 7 hours ago. So that means that either someone is messing with me, or something wacky is happening. All my comments were deleted too. Thats just not right.

*UPDATE* on the cleaning my stuff out!!

I have separated everything completely. I took me 4 hours in a combined 2 days. I will make a count of what I have and I will give away a chunk of it. I think I'm going to make it when I reach a certain follower count. However, there will be a giveaway for my birthday next Saturday, May 21st. I turn 23 :)

We were asked at Amber's Crafts and Stuff to make a projecr using a digi. This week Digi's With Attitude was so kind as to provide the DT with some images to work wi. They will also be giving away a 10$ certificate to their store. So here is my project for this week.

I used pop dots for the tree and Gretchen. The card is all either stamped images or digi images.

Welcome to another Wednesday challenge by Amber's Craft and Stuff. For this challenge we were asked to create something using a new thechnique. My new technique is quilling. From the first time I saw it on a card I fell in love with it. It was kinda hard to do. I'm still learning the art. I made a 12x12 layout about rainbows.

The stamped image says: Count your rainbows not your thunderstorms. Here is a close up of the quilling , which is the hearts and the raindrops.

I know I haven't posted much lately. I have been working on a few things to donate to the Humane Society so they can sell for donations. I will be posting some pictures of my latest things in the days to come. I need to put a portfolio together to impress the director :) so they can give me a letter head asking for donations of craft supplies so I can continue to provide to them with out spending so much.

My Pink Stamper Challenge

I know it's been a while since I did a new project. I was just mostly thinking of what to do and since I already did an altered frame now I'm hooked. So for the new challenge that Robyn is hosting at mypinkstamper.com You have to watch the video to find out what the challenge is ;) Anyways I hope I can make more projects as I did get quite a few frames. Unfortunelly I did not get to take pics as I was doing the project. I was just concentrating too much. I hope you guys like the frame. I think it took me a total of 3 hours to cut and adhere everything together along with the time I was staring at the frame.

Altered Heart frame!!

So I went to Michael's and got these cute frames for $1 and I decided to decorate it. This was my first time so I hope it turned out ok. I used 2 cricut cartridges for this.

That's the back side because I had already glued the paper before taking a picture lol

I cut the paper at 6 1/2"x 8 1/2". The paper is Vines and Flowers Rose Colored Glasses Collection by g.c.d. studios. I x acto knifed the heart and then filed the edges and the heart.

I cut the grass at 1 1/2" from Straight from the nest. I had to cut 3 of them to fit the lenght of the frame. The frame its self is 6 1/2x 8 1/2. After I cut it, I embossed it with a flower embossing folder with my Sizzix embossing machine that looks like a purse :) I used my ATG gun to glue it all together.

I also cut the tree from Straight from the nest cricut cart. It's cut at 5 1/2" and the red is embossed with a paisley embossing folder.

I cut the 2 little squirrels at 2" using the Give a Hoot cricut cart. I punched out my own flower instead of doing the optional layer because I didn't want to use the heavy glitter cs on my cricut yet.

I used pop dots to adhere all the layer to my squirrels and to adhere them to the frame as well.

I making a new kit for me and 9 other ladies. I didn't know what to do at first and then it hit me. I wanted to make a "foresty-like" kit so for the first element I have a tag.

Recipe:
I cut the tree at 2 1/2" from the cart Give a Hoot
The grass is also from the same cart cut at 3/4"
The flowers were from a Martha Stewart punch
The bunny brad was from a recollectons pack I bought a long time ago
The base of the tag is cut at 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"
The blue cs is cut at 3 1/2"
The sun is a 1" punch
All the cs used comes form DCWV, Recollections, and Colorbook

The recipe for the photomat is:

The blue cs is cut at 3 1/2" x 5 1/2"
The pink mat is 4" x 6"
The grass is cut at 1" using Paper doll dress up cart
The tree is cut at 3" using the Cindy loo cart
I used a silver pen to outline the tree
The flowers were also punched using the Martha Stewart punch

I was surprised that today I got to name 7 kittens and 3 adult cats. The adult cats names are Mirage, Alice, and Karinka. The kittens are Kenshin, Totoro, Ramen, Risa, Sakura, Yuki, and Cinder. Just some background on where I work for those of you that don't know, I work at the Humane Society as an exam tech. I was an exciting day for me today :)

We were asked to make something with the martini cut on page 60. Check out the challenge here.

I made a little party favor bag using:

once upon a princess cart for the bag
my atg gun
pink dcwv glitter card stock
blue colorbook cardstock
pink cheap ribbon
recollections lime green cs
pink pattern paper
cupcake delish stamp
1 green jewel for the olive

I cut the bag at 4" real dial size. The martini was cut at 3 1/2". The lime green "liquid" was cut free hand to make it look like tipping liquid (this was also dry embossed to give it texture). The patten paper was cut at 1"x 3" . And last but not least the stick was cut at 1/16th" (yes tiny)

So it's Monday!!!! Urgh my last post I accidentally closed out the page so I lost everything...... Now i really don't remember what I posted about. In any case one of my resolutions for this year was to blog more often. So here is my attempt.
This little layout is one i made a few weeks back using a kit from my FLS group on cafemom.com called Frosty kisses. It is a 2-page 8x8 layout. I think it turned out rather cute if you ask me he he.

OMGGGGG!!! I cant believe Robyn is giving every one a chance to participate. I'm so excited! This challenge was to do anythining using 3 colors green, pink, and brown wich are Robyn's favorite colors. You could also add an extra color.To start the new year I will try to blog every week. Here is my new layout. This is an 8x8 LO. This picture does it no justice. I had to scan it because i didnt find my camera :(
